Friday the 13th of August, the world’s biggest sports event has taken place.
After the opening ceremony, everybody agreed that this was one of the most creative and beautiful
opening ceremonies, the history of the Olympics has ever known. One performance during the opening
amazed billions of people around the world. That night in Athens, Tiësto became the first
DJ ever to play during the Official Olympic Opening Ceremony. This event everybody around the
world was talking about has been the highlight in the career of Tiësto until now.
Due to all the positive reactions we received on this unique performance at the Opening Ceremony,
we’ve decided to release this DJ set for everybody. Tiësto wants to share the special feeling that
he felt during his performance in the Olympic Stadium.
The CD will be released on October 18th and the rest of the world will follow shortly. The CD will contain
8 completely new tracks specially made for this event and 4 well known tracks, which Tiësto really wanted

- Rap pioneer Afrika Bambaataa was once referred to by the Village Voice
as the "great facilitator," in recognition of both his early days as an organizer of the sort of house
and block parties that gave birth to the hip-hop genre as well as his continued work as a creative
entrepreneur and collaborator.
Bambaataa was born Kevin Donaldson in the South Bronx on April 10, 1960.
His professional name is from the Zulu and his recording debut came as a producer for
Soul Sonic Force's Zulu Nation Throwdown in 1980. Bambaataa had
already established himself as a turntable artiste by then and his debut under his
own name came in '82, first with "Jazzy Sensation" then with "Planet Rock",
a seminal and certainly widely influential hip-hop concoction. "Rock" was both a
culminating statement of the music's development thus far and, with its use of the German
electro-forefathers Kraftwerk's "Trans-Europe Express", a precursor of the
rap-and-beyond future--Detroit techno, especially, owes a lot to this one disc.
After a "Planet" followup, "Looking For The Perfect Beat", Bambaataa's
career became more diffuse. Always more of an idea man than a striking performer in the
traditional sense, he began a series of collaborations, notably with James Brown ("Unity")
and Bill Laswell, less notably with John Lydon. The handful of albums he's released under
the Bambaataa moniker are a varied lot, the LP not really being his forte. But his innovative
status is secured and his influence continues to be felt.

- A big surprise for ATB fans. ATB will become the first German artist to release a single
exclusively as a download. "Here With Me", the third track to come off the Top 10 album "No Silence", will be
out on 4 October.
After the first two single releases off "No Silence" were sold as regular physical products, the artist and record
company have agreed to use only the digital sales route for the third single.
"This is the age of download shops and we simply want to show the way. I believe it’s very old hat to curse technology.
Instead we should use it to our advantage," comments Tanneberger on his decision.
From 4 October 2004, "Here With Me" will be available both as a bundle (incl. single, two club mixes and the bonus track
"IntenCity") and as a single track. Incidentally, "Here With Me" also heralds the new ATB mix compilation
"ATB The DJ (In The Mix) 2" that goes on sale on 15 November.
Club mixes of "Here With Me" are, of course, also available on vinyl for DJs.
