Jam & Spoon released a single in the summer of 1999, called "Stella 1999-1992 (How Stella Got Her Groove Back)".
Part 1 contains mixes by Storm, Jam & Spoon and Nalin & Kane.
Part 2 contains mixes by Westbam, Tall Paul and Saafi Bros.
Part 3 contains mixes by Wackside and Eternal Basement.
So what are the Jam & Spoon doing now?
Well Jam El Mar & Mark Spoon writes & produces hits under another name called
Storm, using the pseudonyms
Trancy Spacer & Spacy Trancer. Storm
released their album called "Stormjunkie" in the beginning of July 2000.
Finally on April 30, 2001 Jam & Spoon released the song "Be Angeled".
Now there is the question if the two DJ's play a part in that movie. The track
"Be.Angeled" is a cooperation of the
two DJ's with Rae, the lead
singer of the rockband "Raemonn".
Why did Jam & Spoon choose this soundmix as a main theme for a
techno-movie?
Jam: "We had the opinion we shouldn't produce
something stereotype-like which sounds like Techno but rather something
what transports feelings well. So the track has good beatsand is forward-
pressing too but it is tansporting feelings primarily: the thing - Love Parade!".
The 12" "Mary Jane / Vata" was released in August 2004.
The single "Butterfly Sign [feat. Plavka]" was released on October 11, 2004.
They have been making music under the name Tokyo Ghetto Pussy and under the name Storm.
In January 2006 Mark Spoon aka Markus Löffel was found dead in his Berlin apartment in after suffering a myocardial infarction (heart attack). Spoon was not only a DJ but also as a producer and as a member of acts like Jam & Spoon and Storm he had several big hits. His last public appearance was at the Dance Awards in Hannover, Germany last year.
Rest In Peace Mark, you will be missed. On September 1, 2006 Jam & Spoon released a double album entitld Remixes And Club Classics, an album dedicated to Mark Spoon and filled with their classic hits and remixes.
