Behind the success with Das Modul is the producer team Felix J. Gauder
(E-Rotic + many other projects) and Olaf Roberto Bossi.When they looked thru old records, they accidently played a record called "Computerliebe" by Poso Doble. They listened to it twice, and soon the idea of a cover was born. Now they needed a suitable name for the project. It was soon found: Das Modul.
With Yasemin Baysal and Dierk Schmidt they found two characters,
that could be Das Modul in
the videos and at live performances.
With Andreas "Bär" Läsker and his Bear Music Factory they found
a top managment, and with Motor Music a record company.
Soon their common achievement got rewarded: Short after the release "Computerliebe" (Computerlove) became the German radioeditors favourite, and short after that the Titel placed itself at place number 3 at the German Media Control Charts. 440:000 singles was sold (Gold, almost Platinum).
The following single "Kleine Maus" (Little Mouse) stormed into the Charts and didn't stop until it placed number 4. The single was sold in over 350:000 copies (Gold).
The third single from the Modul-Album "Musik mit Hertz" (Music With a Heart)
was "1100101", which climbed
to number 11 at the Media Control Charts.
In the beginning of June 1996 the second Modul-album with the title
"Urlaub auf der M.S. DOS" (Vacation on M.S. DOS) was released.
After four singles and one album, the singer Yasemin Baysal left the band, to
work in the model business. Yasemin was replaced by the Denise Hameley
from Stuttgart. Her first
single was "Robby Roboter".
After a long break Das Modul finally released a new single in the fall of 1998 called
"Ich Will".
A new singer was also introduced with this single, Keren Mey.
Keren is a multi-talented artist born in Tel-Aviv, at twelve she moderated her own radioshow.
In 2001 & 2002 Das Modul vs. E-Love released the remake of "Computerliebe" entitled "Computerliebe 7:1".
